First of all, we want to thank all of you for making our church such a wonderful place to worship. During this entire year of change and difficulty, you have been a great encouragement to all of us as you faithfully served and were flexible with in-person services, small groups, and classes. As we enter this Christmas season, we have seen a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in our area to the point that some of our hospitals are at capacity. To help keep our church a healthy place to worship, our elders have asked that we make the following adjustments:
1) Removal of some chairs to help with distancing while we are singing,
2) Continue to recommend that you wear a mask during the service,
3) Remove one song to help keep the singing a little more brief
We understand that some individuals are not able to wear a mask due to medical reasons, which obviously excludes them from that recommendation.
Up to this point, we have been blessed to not have seen as much of the spread of the virus in our area. Unfortunately, now we are seeing quite a rapid increase in positive cases, so please use discretion concerning church attendance. If you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or if you are showing symptoms, please stay home and follow your doctor's orders. Also, if you are not feeling well, please stay home. If we have cases in our church, we will make decisions on whether to continue in-person services on a week-to-week basis. By next week, we will let everyone know if we are going to hold an in-person Christmas Eve service. We appreciate your patience and grace in helping our church family attend services.
