In October, HCC is purposefully turning our focus outward and thinking about how we can reach the nations, and our neighbors for Jesus Christ. 

This month we will celebrate MissionsCon on Sunday, October 18th & 25th, and host one of our biggest family outreach events, Light the Night, on Friday, October 30. 

We invite you to think of the many ways you can support missionaries, invite someone to church, and share the gospel with others around you this month! 

Celebrate Fall with Hanover Community Church! Light the Night is a Night of Fellowship while spreading the Good News that Jesus is the Light of the World!

This event will be fun for the whole family with:

Going on Now! Pick up and pack a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child, and send the gospel to kids around the world! 

Bring your filled shoebox to the church by November 14th, then join us for our packing party on Sunday, November 15th at 11:45 AM after the worship service.

Help minister to the shut-ins at You First Personal Care Home! We provide activities for the residents and build relationships seeking opportunities to share the love of Christ. For more information see Alexis Gearhart, or contact the church office to be put in touch! 

If you would love a wonderful blessing, you are invited to attend the pastor's book set on Saturday, November 7th at 6:00 at Hanover First Church of God. This annual event is in support of our missionaries to Angola and Namibia, Calvin and Shelley Brain. 

Learn about the great work they are doing in that part of the world, and how you can be part of it through prayer, encouragement, and even financially. There is no cost for this event.

Join Hands of Hope Crafters on Saturday, November 7th at 9:00 AM. Hands of Hope is a community of crafters (crocheters, knitters, sewers, scrapbookers) of any skill level who wish to serve the Kingdom by creating intentional items to support the Operation Christmas Child ministry. Each month there will be a selected project for each group along with supplies and instructions. 

Gather with our GriefShare group on Saturday, November 7th at 10:00 AM, to find a place of understanding and encouragement for those who have lost a loved one.  

Surviving the Holidays will provide practical tips on coping with painful emotions, handling social events and traditions as well as opportunity for caring conversations with others. You will find connection and comfort in knowing you are not alone this season.

While it is too cold to play outside, come play inside on Thursday, November 12th from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Bring your favorite ride along, toy, or craft. Older siblings and kids are welcome.

Join us on Friday, November 13th at 6:30 PM for a Ladies Dessert Social; "More Mary, Less Martha: How to Have Christ-Centered, Simple Holiday Gatherings."

Enjoy a relaxing evening that will focus on how to make our holiday family events less stressful and more focused on Jesus.

Share the love of Christ at Christmas! One of our favorite Mercy Ministry iniatives returns on November 14th, the HCC Angel Trees. 

Each year, our mercy team sets up Christmas trees with ornaments that have a gift request for a person in need this Christmas. 

On November 14th you can help set up and decorate our Angel Trees. From November 15-22, you can choose an ornament, and shop for a gift for someone in need. Bring that unwrapped gift to church the week of November 22-29, or participate in our gift wrapping party on Saturday, December 5.

Join HCC Fusion for PAINTBALL at Round Top.  Students and leaders will be engaged in an epic paintball battle. The cost of $50 includes transportation from HCC to Round Top, four hours of paintball play, and pizza. Bring a change of clothing, water bottle and snack. Sign up today! (Two waivers are required - one from HCC and one from Round Top.) Payment is due by 11/8 to secure your spot.

Meet at HCC by 8:45 so we can leave together as a group for Round Top.  We will return back to HCC between 3:30-4PM.
